Integrative Spiritual & Somatic Counseling

Hello, I’m Nina, a spiritual and somatic counselor in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. With an MA in Counseling Psychology and ordination in spiritual leadership, I offer a trauma-informed, heart/body-centered, and attachment-based approach that focuses on building safety to help you deepen connection to yourself and others.

My commitment is to providing you with a gentle and nurturing space that supports curiosity, exploration, and discovery. Sessions include meditation, imagery, and embodiment practices to engage the body's inherent capacity for insight and connection.

My work is grounded in respect and honoring of the body's innate capacity for wisdom, healing, and transformation.

The work follows the seven Body Wisdom principles created by somatic psychotherapist Manuela Mischke-Reeds:

1) Body responds to its direct environment
2) Body remembers
3) Body changes
4) Body experiences are transient
5) Body has innate capacity for repair
6) Body wisdom comes forth in a climate of kindness and compassion
7) Body is an important place for healing and transformation
And I would add:
8) Body is a pathway for connection to soul, ancestors, Earth, and spirit

I offer a relational, holistic approach focusing on mind-body integration.

I am in a state of wonder at Nina's intuitive, clear touch after just one session. I hadn't tried dream therapy before, and I didn't know what I was expecting to happen, but I experienced a release of something quite powerful. I spent much of the evening afterwards with my hand on my heart, feeling like some of the biggest pieces of my interior furniture had been transformed into space. Thank you, Nina, for your deeply attentive and healing presence.” —Katie
